07-08 Renewal Grant Forms Online
Please take a look at these. http://www.writingproject.org/cs/nwpp/print/pa/44
Download whatever seems appropriate for the part of the grant you will write.
I'll have to look at the date I said I needed the drafts, but its really soon, like toward the end of October this year. We are going to get ours through the process by the end of November. These grants are due like Jan 10 or something and key personnel that need to sign them are away from the university then. So, I have to get it done, wrapped up, signed, sealed and delivered by the end of November and that's pushing it.
I'll take it and put it in one voice. PLEASE collaborate with each other as you need to, ok? Don't worry about who is taking the lead, or stepping on someone's toes. Let's just jump in and offer to help and get going!
If you are not coming back for your leadership position in 07-08, PLEASE let me know ASAP! If you can recruit people for your team, please do so!!!!!!
Thanks, so much! Bluebonnets!
Hey, would you reply in the comments and tell me what part you are writing so I know we are communicating?

The only budgeting items I could see from my part of this would be some flexible money for new software items to add to the site that might have a one time fee or small recurring fee. We have been able to find most of what we are looking for with free services so far. If there is an extra few hundred dollars thrown into the technology portion of the budget for unexpected items, then we are good to go.

Would research and writing grants fit somewhere or is it expected to be done voluntarily? Instead of tutoring students I could invest more time on grants.
20 hours a week for 6 weeks or 10 hours a week for ___ weeks. kat

Katherine,
We certainly could pay you a stipend for working in that position, but I'm not sure it could come up to the money you make from tutoring. I would like to see you make money from staff development of in service teacher training. In fact, I'd like to see all the leadership do that. Janelle has an idea for tapping into NCLB money. Janelle, do you want to talk about that?
We need to really get organized in this area. Our mission is to train and support teachers and somehow we're just not making that connection. We've has some starts, but they haven't sustained.
Maybe you could work with Jill on that in coming up with a solid plan and then it could be in part supported by grants--although the majority of your funding would come from the staff development itsself.
