2006 Annual Meeting
Friday, November 17, 2006
A rich variety of opportunities and possibilities are available on Friday. The day begins with a coffee hour starting at 7:30 a.m. The General Session, open to all, will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Following the General Session, participants can choose among several options for the afternoon. These include:
Technology Liaison Workshops
A focused strand of site development workshops is offered by the Technology Liaisons (TL) Network, whose goal in these sessions is to help TLs and other writing project site leaders to better understand the ways in which technology can be used to support the work of local sites. In workshops focused on the core work and mission of writing project sites, technology liaisons will be able to share knowledge with members of the TL Network and other participants. Registration for these workshops opens on September 1.
Site Development Workshops
Several site development workshops of special interest to teacher-consultants and site leaders will be available from 1:00 to 4:00 on Friday afternoon. Registration for these workshops opens on September 1.
Writing Marathon
Interested participants may want to join other writers for a writing marathon around downtown Nashville from 11:30-5:30 on Friday afternoon. Registration for the writing marathon opens on September 1.

I'm in. Is it possible for me to fly out of Shreveport (70 minute drive for me)? Or do you (the BWP group) fly out of DFW later in the evening. The quickest I could get to DFW (parking lot) would be 6:30 - 7:00PM. Then how long to clear security? We all know how shifty I look.

I just got the "oficial" okie-dokie from FWISD. It appears that it takes a small miracle to get approval for a day off before a holiday...anywho, I'm innie!
